Memory Grove Off-Leash Area at Freedom Trail

Let your dogs burn off some energy in the designated off-leash areas of this Salt Lake City park & then take a dip in the creek to cool off (unfortunately the lake is off-limits for pooches)!

Cottonwood Park Off-Leash Area

1580 W. North Star Dr., Salt Lake City, UT 84116

Fully fenced off-leash area with lots of trees for shade & some picnic areas to take a break while your dog runs around. There is also a beautiful walking path to get in some extra exercise for you & your pet!

Rotary Glen Dog Park

71 Emigration Canyon Rd., Salt Lake City, UT 84108

Beautiful location on the East Bench, east of Hogle Zoo and close to the University of Utah. Offers a huge grassy area for your pet to run around & a small creek to play in.

Tanner Park

2470 S 2700 E, Salt Lake City, UT 84109

While not an official dog park, you will find many leashed dogs on the park’s many trails. This park is much like getting in a wilderness hike while still staying in the city. The trails follow a waterway and many patrons let their dogs play in the creek at the bridge at the bottom—just watch out for the current, it can be strong! This park also offers a number of bag & waste stations for added convenience.

Millcreek Canyon

3884 Millcreek Canyon Rd., Salt Lake City, UT 84124

Millcreek Canyon is open to the public everyday & offers numerous hiking trails for you & your pets to explore. On-leash pets are always welcome & pets are allowed to be off-leash on ODD numbered days only. Don’t forget to keep your pooch away from the watershed area while you’re exploring. You & your pets are sure to love the breathtaking views along the way!

Liberty Park

A popular urban park, and the second-largest in Salt Lake City, the 80-acre park has activities for everyone to enjoy! Liberty Park features tennis courts, a swimming pool, paddle boats, a children’s amusement park, playgrounds, picnic facilities, and plenty of open space to relax or throw the ball with your dog. Liberty Park is also home to the Tracy Aviary. With its diverse uses and natural space tranquility, Liberty Park remains a favorite spot for Salt Lake City residents to get out and enjoy the day!
