Less than an hour’s drive from Salt Lake City, Heber City is the perfect destination for a day trip to the mountains. Along with the great options in town for eating and shopping, there is a wide array of options for activities to soak in some of our crisp mountain air and submerge yourself in nature. The One Group Utah compiled this list of five of the best hikes near Heber City to help make your trip complete!
- Nobletts Creek Trail
An easy, moderately trafficked 2.1 mile out and back trail near Heber City, UT, Nobletts Creek Trail highlights a relaxing waterfall and is perfect for hikers of all abilities. The trail is best accessed from June until October and dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash.
- Phosphate Trail Loop
The Phosphate Trail Loop is a 6.1 mile moderately trafficked loop near Heber City, moderate in difficulty and offering great views of Wasatch Mountain State Park. Best trail conditions can be found from April through September and leashed dogs are allowed.
- Heber Valley Overlook
Another moderately trafficked loop trail, this 2.3-mile trail is perfect for hikers of all skill levels and offers breathtaking views of the Heber Valley. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best visited from April until October. Dogs are welcome on the trail and must be kept on a leash.
- Foreman Hollow Nature Trail
A moderately difficult, lightly trafficked loop near Heber City. The Foreman Hollow Nature Trail features beautiful wildflowers and is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and cross-country skiing. The trail is best used from June through October and allows leashed dogs.
- Wow Pine Canyon Trail
1.7 miles of stunning views & an abundance of gorgeous wildflowers, the Wow Pine Canyon Trail is a moderately trafficked out and back trail near Heber City in Wasatch Mountain State Park. Best accessed from April until September, the trail offers a wide variety of activities and welcomes leashed dogs to join in.
